Our organization represents local agencies certified by the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA) as Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs). Our member agencies regulate facilities with hazardous materials, hazardous waste, above-ground storage tanks and underground storage tanks throughout the State.  Every year, the California CUPA Forum, with our partner State agencies, hosts the annual Unified Program Training Conference.  Our last conference had over 3,000 professionals attend from State, Federal, local government agencies; Fire Departments; Environmental Health Departments; Industry & Academia.

Our upcoming CUPA training conference IS GOING VIRTUAL on Tues/Wed/Thurs 8am-5pm, February 2  thru March 18, 2021 with over 150 Training Sessions on various different topics from over 250 speaker presentations.  This years registration comes with one year access to all Training Library Videos.

The Conference Student Committee would like to extend an invitation to college students interested in a career path impacting human health and the environment. Participation in our Virtual Training Conference is FREE for approved students. Current students and recent graduates can submit an On-Line Application and upload supporting documents showing current enrollment or last year’s enrollment. If the college/university is not within California, students must also upload a copy of a California high school diploma.

This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate candidates. We hope your students will be interested and take the opportunity to experience a conference where they can meet and interact with professionals currently employed in environmental regulatory programs. Many students get hired through participating and meeting the professionals.

Student Day applications are due 1/15/21 or until full.
