About Kinetic
The Kinetic team is on a mission to create a safer workplace and better life for the industrial workforce around the world. Kinetic has a patented wearable device, called Reflex, which sits on the wearer’s hip and alerts them when they perform a high-risk motion which could lead to an injury. Our wearable technology has been proven to reduce injuries by 55%, and has been deployed to tens of thousands of industrial workers at some of the leading Fortune 500 firms, including Pepsi, DHL and Home Depot. Starting in 2022 Kinetic partnered with Nationwide to sell Workers Compensation insurance, where policyholders get our technology for free as part of their insurance policy.
At this stage, Kinetic has approximately 45 employees across groups ranging from software development to enterprise customer success to business development for insurance. We have raised capital from top VC firms and partners like Primary Ventures, Nationwide Ventures, and Crosslink Capital.
Kinetic is starting to grow quickly due to the rapid growth in both its insurance product offering and enterprise sales, with 10x growth in just 2 years.
The Role
This role is a new position at Kinetic that will be joining our Insurance Operations team. This person will be responsible for building best in class loss control programs aimed at reducing our policyholder’s total cost of risk, engaging policyholders in utilizing our wearable safety technology, and directly working with policyholders through onsite safety training programs. This position will also work with our in house Claims and Underwriting teams in controlling Kinetic’s overall loss ratio. This person will spend 35%-50% of their time traveling to our customers in order to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities:
- Control Kinetics loss ratio through mitigation of policyholder loss sources.
- Improve wearable technology deployment through education on how the technology integrates into an overall risk management program.
- Integrate with claims team to build and promote return to work programs lowering post injury costs.
- Build vertical expertise and safety programs to position Kinetic as a leader in market segments.
- Improve policyholder retention through best-in-class loss mitigation programs.
- Build specific risk mitigation programs for RCM accounts.
- Support distribution and underwriting in point-of-sale opportunities to win business.
- Support UW in prospecting accounts and providing location surveys for new business and renewals.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience in Workers’ Compensation Loss Control.
- Must be able to travel 35-50%.
- Degree in Loss Control or similar field.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff.
- Proficient in EXCEL creating pivot tables and charts. Preferable if you have experience plotting and visualizing data in a business intelligence platform like Tableau or Looker.
- Ideally, proficient with the Google Suite of business products.
- Preferable if you’ve worked at an Insurtech company or MGA.
