PRESIDENT'S LETTER
Dear SF Chapter ASSP Members,

Each Thanksgiving, I’m reminded to take a moment to offer gratitude for all the blessings I received over the past year. It’s nice to reflect on my own achievements, but I find it more fulfilling to open my thoughts to all the ways other people have helped me throughout the year. This year, I am making an increased commitment to show gratitude throughout the year to those who influence my life -- both personally and professionally. While it is sometimes easier to be grateful in our personal lives, we shouldn’t neglect to insert gratitude into our professional lives as well. So I'd like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you, the San Francisco Chapter members, for continuing to invest in ASSP. I'd also like to thank the San Francisco Chapter board members for juggling their regular job, personal lives and also contributing to the San Francisco Chapter. I couldn't do it without all of you!

Speaking of showing gratitude, we have nominations open for the 2020 San Francisco Chapter SPY award. I encourage all of you to nominate colleagues and others in your professional network for this prestigious award. The winner will be announced at the 2020 Bay Area Safety Symposium on March 4, 2020. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking to network and find out if there are job openings. The jobs must be in an Environment, Health and Safety function. For example: Fleet Safety Manager, Director of Environmental, Health and Safety, Risk Manager, Health and Safety Specialist etc.

We will post the jobs to our website. This is done currently at no charge, but the chapter is always accepting donations to help establish our scholarship fund. Your contribution is appreciated.

Please email the job information to the Communication/Website Coordinator, Kathleen Roberts, at updates@sanfrancisco.assp.org .
