PRESIDENT'S LETTER
Dear San Francisco Chapter Members,

Summer has officially begun and I hope you all are still hanging in there. The last few months have been a tumultuous time and we have all learned how to pivot and change the way we run our day to day life during this pandemic. In this unprecedented time, senior leaders are coming to EHS professionals for advice and counsel as never before. Worker health and safety has never been more visible; never the subject of daily presidential news briefings and saturation media coverage. So from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for your contributions and the work that you do.

With June 2020 coming to an end, so does my term as President of the San Francisco Chapter. As the outgoing Chapter President, I would like to thank you all for the opportunity to lead the chapter as it truly has been an honor and privilege. The experience I've had a as a volunteer has been tremendously rewarding as I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing and dedicated folks who share the same passion for EHS. If you have been curious about volunteering, I would highly encourage you to do it! The people you will work with, the experience you will gain and the rewarding feeling of giving back makes it all worthwhile. There is always a need for volunteeers on our board, so feel free to reach out to us or indicate on the member survey if you are interested. I also encourage you to provide feedback and suggestions on future events you'd like us to host in order to bring more value to your membership. If you haven't already done so, you can take the member survey here.

As the new chapter year begins on July 1st, I will begin my new role as Chapter Delegate & Past Chapter President. I will also be joining the Region I Board as Assistant Regional Vice President (ARVP) of Technology & Communications.

Have a safe and wonderful summer season and thank you for your continued support of the San Francisco Chapter.

Stay Safe,

Amanda Shin

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking to network and find out if there are job openings. The jobs must be in an Environment, Health and Safety function. For example: Fleet Safety Manager, Director of Environmental, Health and Safety, Risk Manager, Health and Safety Specialist etc.

We will post the jobs to our website. This is done currently at no charge, but the chapter is always accepting donations to help establish our scholarship fund. Your contribution is appreciated.

Please email the job information to the Communication/Website Coordinator, Kathleen Roberts, at updates@sanfrancisco.assp.org .
