The SF Construction Section, SF Chapter & Greater SJ Chapter’s jointly hosted a summer mixer/networking event for our members this week on Tuesday. We had around 20 safety professionals show up to the event. It was a great way to celebrate the summer and network over pizza, beer and good company. Here are some photos from the event. Our last event of the 2018-2019 chapter year was held at St. George Distillery in Alameda, founded in 1982 by a German immigrant named Jorg Rupf. St. George was the first American distillery to open since prohibition. The distillery makes a range of of craft spirits that include vodka, gin, absinthe, small batch single malt whiskey, flavored liqueur’s, and eau de vie style brandy. In fact, St. George was the first American distillery to release the first legal absinthe since the ban was lifted in the U.S. in 2007.Read More
The San Francisco Chapter accepted an award for the 2017-2018 Chapter Year for achieving Platinum Level Status. The platinum chapter designation is awarded to chapters that meet rigorous standards of excellence as established by ASSP. They are considered to be strong role models for other chapters to emulate.
