We are seeking an experienced Safety & Loss Control Director to lead strategic safety initiatives and risk reduction efforts within our Workers’ Compensation program. This role is ideal for a seasoned safety professional with a strong background in loss control, regulatory compliance, and workers’ compensation claims mitigation. The ideal candidate will also have experience utilizing safety technology platforms to drive measurable improvements in workplace safety and loss performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Loss Control
- Develop and implement scalable loss control and safety strategies designed to reduce workplace injuries and improve workers’ compensation performance.
- Conduct comprehensive safety program reviews, including Injury & Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP), safety policies, and loss trend analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Guide policyholders in leveraging Safesite, Foresight’s bespoke safety technology platform, technology, and best practices to enhance workplace safety.
- Oversee and manage onsite safety surveys and vendors to assess workplace hazards, providing actionable insights to policyholders and safety stakeholders.
- Perform ongoing risk assessments and servicing of high-risk accounts, focusing on industries with high work comp exposure, such as construction, manufacturing, and general industry.
- Define and coordinate safety performance reviews with employer safety teams, helping to reduce claims frequency and severity.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging safety regulations, industry best practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and safety technology to reduce workplace injuries and claims costs.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with underwriters, claims teams, policyholders, brokers, TPAs, and insurance carriers to enhance workplace safety culture and develop targeted intervention strategies of high risk accounts
Safety Success
- Balance leadership and hands on execution of the Safety Success process and team, ensuring departmental KPI’s are met and initiatives are deployed through clear leadership, direction and tracking.
- Advocate for safety success and loss control initiatives in cross-functional planning and workers’ compensation risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with company leadership and department leaders present department performance and initiatives, represent Safety Success as required for corporate development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent credential required.
- 5+ years of experience in workers’ compensation loss control, safety consulting, insurance loss prevention, or OSHA regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation claims, experience modifiers (MODs), and cost containment strategies.
- Familiarity with digital safety platforms (e.g., Safesite, telematics, predictive analytics tools) to drive risk reduction.
- Experience working with construction firms, high-risk industries, insurance carriers, TPAs, or brokerages.
- Expertise in loss control consulting, risk assessment, claims management, and insurance stakeholder collaboration in Work Comp as well as other commercial lines for future expansion.
- Exceptional communication and training skills, with the ability to influence policyholders and drive safety culture improvements.

As a fully remote company, the compensation range provided is based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, and other business and organizational needs and is based on national averages*. Your tasks
As our Senior Environmental Health & Safety Engineer you will be an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, to identify, analyze, and resolve safety, industrial hygiene and environmental issues. This senior position will work hand-in-hand with stie management, mentor, and support personnel, and work to ensure overall compliance of the site.
- Maintain safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OSHA VPP).
- Collaborate and participate as a valued member of the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support and coordinate activities and processes.
- Lead and/or provide safety, industrial hygiene and environmental input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes and procedures.

Your profile
- BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental, or related major.
- 5+ years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment that involves the use of hazardous chemicals and gases.
- Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost effective and meet user requirements for the management of safety, industrial hygiene and environmental issues. This should include; chemical/gas safety, industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous waste disposal, exhaust ventilation, laser safety, and process safety.
- Strong computer and data management skills desired. Experience with web-based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
- Ability to work as part of a team, while driving individual project work and activities towards the team’s goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Hygienist.
- Knowledgeable in Federal and California hazardous waste management and other environmental regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of air pollution abatement.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements.
